Opening Ceremony - Kirtan
Workshop 1 - Mantra, Sacred Sound Formulas
Learn and practice Sanskirt and Buddhist mantras and proper pronunciation of mantras and their meaning. Learn the practice of Japa (mantra meditation with beads). Study specific mantras for meditation, health, abundance, love, removing obstacles, and more.
Lunch - Please bring a light lunch or snack
Workshop 2 - Murtis, Myth, and Mandala
Complementing the sound of mantra is sacred sight. Study the sacred geometry and meaning of Yantra and Mandala. Learn about the Murtis (Ganesha, shiva, Laxmi); delving into their rich, symbolic nature and inspiring stories. Learn ahow to work with Murtis and mantras together.
Short Break
Workshop 3 - Taking Mantra Home
Guidance selecting personal Mantra and Murti (Ishtadevita). Guidance selecting a Mala (prayer beads) for your mantra. How to use mantra in yoga/asana to deepen practice. End with Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and Sound Bath.
Closing Ceremony - Kirtan
Participants will receive a booklet with mantra and information covered in the Immersion.
MaaShakti Das (Paulie Skoglind) is a soulful musician, Kirtan Artist, Yoga Teacher, Thai Massage and Reiki Practitioner, Psychologist, and father.
